When working with cymbidium Orchids keeping them on their own with only minimal foliage really does make a stunning bouquet as you will see, the colour was green which gives such a 'fresh' look, and the overall effect was modern and chic, certainly one of my favourites this year !!
The marvelous Cock'O'Barton was the venue for Laura and Andy's big day, and what a venue!! It oozes style, and character, and is most definately a venue to visit.. As you can see from the first picture, that this wedding has the WOW factor !! The main flower was Cymbidium Orchids, and they really don;t need much else with them to look stunning!!! Laura knew exactly waht she wanted and we worked from the wonderful story board that she had created with all the styles she liked. When working with cymbidium Orchids keeping them on their own with only minimal foliage really does make a stunning bouquet as you will see, the colour was green which gives such a 'fresh' look, and the overall effect was modern and chic, certainly one of my favourites this year !! Laura's bouquet was very simple, all large headed cymbidium orchids wired to form a posy style bouquet, and the handle was bound with silver/grey ribbon, The bridesmaids had very simple wrist corsages. The Buttonholes again were very simple with bear grass and draceana curls.. The Table arrangments were all glass cubes, with aspidistra around the inside, and cymbidium orchids as the main feature, white stallion ayr and 'feeling green' ayr and delicate alchemilla molis.

Janine chose an amazing theme for her wedding flowers, with classic colours and flowers, the Grovesnor's suite looked fantastic as ever with the Martini vases taking centre stage, beatuiful scented Normas Jean roses and Oriental lilys .
Well we're back at the wonderful venue Plas Isaf for Heidi's Wedding, and another amazing colour selection!!
Heidi knew from the start what style, flowers and colours she wanted, the colour scheme fitted in beautifully around all the stone work within the barn. Heidi's flowers were simple but beautiful, and her bridesmaids looked fantastic against their yellow dresses, which Heidi got from First lady. The arrangements were scattered around the room so guests were dazzled by all the beautifully scented flowers during the ceremony, and a garland of ruscus and arrangement adorned the gallery. Even the cake was given the special treatment and scattered with freesia and lisianthus. Doubletree Hilton Chester was the the venue for Leanne and Jonathans wedding, when it came to choosing the theme of the flowers it became very exciting as Leanne and Jonathan wanted to incorporate their passion of their garden and at the same time bring in an architectral theme. Rhona did the chair covers and the setting looked stunning with all the reception flowers in the windows and scattered around. They also chose the vases to have a natural look of pebbles, and lucky bamboo, with modern arrangements of caged steel grass with a selection of flowers. They all included succlulents, which brought in the earthy tones.
Leanne's hand tied bouquet was a selection of scented freesia, eucharis , gyp and delicate lisianthus it looked stunning. The urn arrangments were again in the same style and included succulents, Leanne and Jonathan bought in their own selection of vases and we put in various flowers , and these were all scattered around the St Bartholemews Church in Great Barrow was the place for Bex, it was a fraut time, as the original church was vandalised a week before and everything had to be changed!! LLyndir Hall hotel was the venue for the reception, and the wonderful Blue leaf event hire covered all the chairs. Bex wanted her wedding to be themed around the beach, and all the elements that we bought in looked fabulous, from the driftwood to the sand and shells!!! The church was simply decorated with a few arrangments with white lilys, grasses and roses, the pews were all decorated with Roses, astrantia and grasses, bound in raffia and hessian. Bex's bouquet was a shower, incoporating a new rose called 'quick sand' , and akito roses, singapore orchids, and fountain grass, draceana and raffia, whilst the bridesmaids had a 'quick sand' rose in the centre of akito and surrounding grasses. The younger bridesmaid had a silver wand with rose, grasses and raffia detail , and even the buttonholes were bound with a raffia stem!! The top table arrangment was three pieces of driftwood that Bex had put together,we then en twind the flowers troughout the wood, we scattered the shells around to give an overall effect of the beach, and in the evening they hired our hurricane vases and added sand and shells within.
The Plas Hafod, Gwernymynydd, Mold was the amazing venue for Sue and John's wedding, Graham at True Reflections photography took some amazing photos which we are able to share with you of their special day , so a special thanks to him for the lovely photos. The Sunflower and Germini theme that Sue chose certainly made the day a bright and happy one!! The Grounds and venue for Sue and John's wedding are amazing, if you have to time pop along and visit this lovely venue. Sue chose Mini sunflowers teamed with Hot pink - Orange and Pale pink Germinis, the combination together looked really stunning. Sue's Bridesmaid's had lovely star wands with brightly coloured ribbons and sunflower, all the buttonholes were mini sunflowers. The Cake was topped with mini sunflowers and germinis, and was made by Nickys cakes, The top table had an arrangement in the same flowers and Sue bought in her own Large Brandy glasses which had smaller arrangements inside.
Maxine was married at LLyndir Hall Hotel and Spa and they then took all their guests back to the grooms parents for a wonderful Marquee reception.. Two stunning pedestal arrangments were taken to Llyndir Hall ready for the ceremony, and then later taken to the marquee.. Maxine's bouquet was a beautiful collection of orchids, germinis, shamrock blooms, scented lilac, avalanche roses, double lisianthus, veronica and antirinums, and the bridesmaids had mini versions without the orchids, creating a lovely crisp fresh theme. Maxine wanted to bring three of the colours of their favourite team 'The Harlequins' , within the bridesmaids flowers, so I hand stitched the ribbons she bought in to form a subtle bind that went around the stems. The Bride and Groom wanted their love of 'The Harlequins' Rugby team and their love of champagne and collection of champagne bottles to be part of their theme , which is quite a challenge to try to get flowers in the neck of a champangne bottle !!! But I managed it and the result was very chic.. Even the champagne bottles had their own personalised labels on !!
The Lion Quays was the Fabulous venue for Kayleigh and Ians Special day.
The reception took place in the Conservatory overlooking a stunning view of the canal and countryside, the guests were in for a treat as Kayleigh knew exactly what she wanted for the room and it was simply stunning and breath taking, even down to the details of lights in the martini vases to shine through the blue crystal gels, I'm sure you'll all agree it looks amazing !! Kayleigh's Bridal shower was a beautiful classic shower of Calla lilys, roses, singapore orchids and germinis, with diamante detail. The bridesmaids had hand tied bouquets of Germinis, lisianthus and roses with Blue gypsophilia scattered through & silver grass loop detail and diamantes in the centres of the germini. |
