In September we had the pleasure of creating the most amazing designs for Kirsty and Colm's Big day , Dawn and I couldn't wait to start , the venue was at Kirsty's Parents home in Peckforton surrounded by the wonderful woods. This was to be a main focus for the decoration and theme, also combined with Kirsty and Colm's love of ski resorts and Alpine theme.
Whilst planning the style, Penny ( Kirsty's mum) told us that when they felled a tree that needed to come down , they found a large amount of old glass bottles left by an old man that had lived in the woods years ago !! Straight away I was excited !! especially as we had already planned to use two old ladders within the theme!
Armed with buckets Dawn and I collected alot of old dairy - medicine and shaped bottles ready to be cleaned , we also had great fun collecting wood to make the seating plan and chicken wire ! All to be revealed !!!
From the Church to the marquee and wedding flowers the whole experience was amazing and Kirsty and Colm and families were so wonderful and welcoming which made the whole few days that we spent with them amazing.
Kirsty and family busily cut up logs of all sizes to be used around the venue and I think when you see the photos you will agree the results are amazing !! with lots of fairy lights to light up the trees and hessian the whole effect looked fabulous !
A big thank you to RB Print shop for printing the logo that Kirsty's Dad designed for the invitations , and these looked fabulous on the Napkin rings that doubled up as place settings !
