Well it's been very busy lately and I've not had chance to do any Blog's , but here we are !! the first of many!!! this wedding was particularly special to me !!! Emma came in to see me about her flowers, I had previously had the pleasure of making her Sister Katies.
I knew straight away that I was going to Love doing this wedding !! It's always even more special to a florist when the theme is something a little different ! and the Venue Soughton Hall , even more spectacular.
Emma had strong ideas for the beginning of bringing a lemon theme into the wedding, with lots of lovely pictures. We had a great sample day looking at how many lemons would fill the vases that Emma had bought, and made sure that we tested the forsythia to see how long it would take to open up ! .
The result was amazing !! beautiful Long vases filled with fresh lemons, Tall forsythia with sweet scented genista , a simple touch of Hessian and Tartan ribbon around the rim.
Emma's bouquet was equally amazing with phaelenopsis orchids, mixed with stocks and ranacules. Her bridesmaids were simple hand tied of sweet smelling stocks, and even the buttonholes had a tartan finish.
We also made the hand drawn chalk board for guests to help themselves to sweets on the way in.
